Soup of the day

I borrowed that picture from TopCultured.com, just thought it was hilarious and awesome.

So, I'm about half way through my 2000 words for the day, and feeling pretty damn good about it. I'm taking a day or two away from the novel and working on a short story for a magazine competition. I scribbled through a couple pages of my notebook working out the idea (which started as something else entirely) (which happens to me a lot) (I just like putting stuff in parentheses) and eventually stumbled onto what I think is a great story.

Sometimes, I feel bad for the people around me. Why? Because I have a constant internal narration. Anything that happens to, around, or within me, is likely to be fodder for some scribbled story arc in my notebook. Oh well. :) I do love my notebook, though. There's just something about pen and paper writing that helps get my creative juices flowing, it's how I start everyday. Of course, when transferring my scribbles to the ol' computer, they tend to undergo a lot of editing, which is probably good. Maybe.

I think that's enough of my ramblings, for now.
